Peru Cultural Connection


a) Your contract in respect of your holiday is made with Peru Cultural Connection (‘the Company‘), registered in Cusco / Peru and all bookings are subject to these terms and conditions.

b) All communications by the Company about your holiday will be sent to the address stated on the booking form.

c) A booking is accepted and becomes definite from the Peru Cultural Connection has received the deposit from the Client. It is at this point that a binding contract between Peru Cultural Connections, and the Client comes into existence

d) To secure a booking with Peru Cultural Connections, the Client must deposit 50% of the entire price of the trip. All flights (domestic and international) and UpGrades must be paid 100% in advance to secure spaces. The deposit is non-refundable. Clients booking by telephone fax or email will be deemed to have read the booking conditions.

e) All special requests, such as dietary requirements, should be noted on the booking form.

f) The Company will provide the service as set out and confirmed in writing.


a) Peru Cultural Connection is under no obligation to furnish a breakdown of the costs involved in a holiday

b) Full payment is required 48 hrs before departure. In case of not being able to make full payment within said time frame, an alternative payment system must be arranged and coordinated. Failure to do either of the above can result in CANCELLATION of your tour.
c) Payment can either be made by paypal, wire transfer, direct deposit (western union). In case of a bank transfer, all wiring and transfer costs should be assumed by the Client.

d) All prices are United States of America Dollar based.

Substitution of Client

If any member of your party is prevented from traveling, it may be possible to transfer the booking to another suitable person, provided that written notice is given at least 30 days before departure. An administration fee of US$50 will be levied plus any costs imposed by Peru Cultural Connection suppliers. In the case of certain tickets such as those for Machupicchu Site, Huayna Picchu mountain or the Inca Trail, these must be purchased again as they cannot be transferred, then we need see the availability.

Cancellation and Changes by the Company

While Peru Cultural Connection will use its best endeavors to operate all tours as advertised, by entering into this contract the Client accepts that it may prove necessary or advisable to vary or modify a tour itinerary or its contents due to prevailing local conditions. Peru Cultural Connections reserves the right to cancel or change any of the facilities, services or prices (including flights, accommodation or other arrangements) at any time and to substitute alternative arrangements of comparable monetary value without compensation and accepts no liability for loss of enjoyment as a result of these changes.

If a major change is known to us at the time of the booking, the Client will be informed immediately. A major changed is defined as a change affecting at least one in three full tour days of the itinerary, or which materially affects the character of the Product in its entirety. If a major change becomes necessary after booking, Peru Cultural Connections will inform the Clients as soon as reasonably possible.

When a major change is made, the Client will have the choice to accept the change of arrangements, to purchase any other available tour or to cancel the tour and obtain a full refund. This is providing that the major change is not because of force majeure.

Force majeure is war, threat of war, riots, civil strife, strikes, industrial dispute, terrorist activities, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions, technical or maintenance problems with transport, changes imposed by cancellation or rescheduling of flights by an airline, the alteration of airline or aircraft type, or other similar events beyond the control of Peru Cultural Connection.

Peru Cultural Connection is not liable for any charges in the event of a change – beyond their control – to the departure time or date of a tour, flight or other form of transport.

Cancellation and Changes by Youa) You may cancel your holiday at any time providing you notify the Company in writing. Deposit paid to reserve trip is non-refundable. Payments for flights, Machupicchu site, Inca Trail Trek and Train Tickets bookings are non-refundable due to airline, Peruvian government and operator policies The following charges will be levied on any cancellation:

20 – 45 days 40 % of Tour Cost
9 – 19 days 75 % of Tour Cost
1 – 8 days 100% of Tour Cost

SurchargesShould any price increase, Peru Cultural Connections will absorb the price increase if the price increase is less than 5% of the total package price. If the increase is more than 5%, the client will be surcharged the difference.

Our Responsibilities

a) Peru Cultural Connection does not own or manage the aircraft, accommodation, restaurants and other facilities used in conjunction with the tours arranged. While Peru Cultural Connection has exercised care in selecting providers of travel, accommodation, restaurants and other facilities, the Company has not had the opportunity to inspect and do not represent that such aircraft, accommodation, restaurants, and other facilities and services have been inspected.

b) Peru Cultural Connection is not responsible if you or any member of your party suffer death, illness or injury as a result of any failure to perform or improper performance of any part of our contract with you where such failure is attributable to (i) the acts and/or omissions of any member of the party, or (ii) those of a third party not connected with the provision of your holiday, or (iii) an event which neither the Company or the service provider could have foreseen or prevented even with due care.

c) Should any member of your party suffer illness, injury or death through misadventure arising out of an activity, which does not form part of the holiday Peru Cultural Connections has arranged for you the Company cannot accept liability. Peru Cultural Connections will offer general assistance where appropriate.

d) Peru Cultural Connection regret that no refund will be made on unused tickets where travel, sporting event or other types of ticket, unless a refund can be obtained from the carrier or provider.

Your Responsibilities

a) You are responsible for arranging your travel insurance, though an appropriate policy can be incorporated into your tour package. Details of all insurance policies held by each member of your party must be provided on the booking form. No booking forms can be accepted without sufficient proof that personal policies have been arranged. Please ensure that your insurance cover applies to the specific activities you are booking and which are confirmed on the Confirmation Invoice.

b) You must have a valid passport, visas and all necessary documentation for the countries they are touring. Peru Cultural Connection accept no responsibility for any delay or expense should your documents not be in order.

c) You are responsible for checking-in for flights at the correct time and for presenting yourself to take up all pre-booked components of your holiday. Peru Cultural Connection cannot accept responsibility for clients missing flights as a result of late check-ins and no credit or refunds will be given if you fail to take up any component of your holiday. No credit of refunds will be given for lost, mislaid or destroyed travel documents.

d) It is the responsibility of the person who signs the Booking Form to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions that members of their party may have.

e) All equipment and personal effects shall be all times and in all circumstances at the owner’s risk. Peru Cultural Connection cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage or delay to your luggage or effects unless directly caused by the negligence of one of our representatives.

SmokingThe Company forbids smoking in any vehicle operated by Peru Cultural Connection. Frequent stops can be arranged for those who desire to smoke. All accommodation will be reserved with non-smoking rooms, unless the client specifically requires a smoking room. Confirmation is depending on hotel availability.

a) If you have a problem during your holiday, please inform the relevant airline, hotel, local agent of other suppliers immediately so that they can endeavor to put things right. If you cannot resolve the problems, you must contact Peru Cultural Connection office so that they are allowed to help. The Company will not hold themselves responsible for the non-performance of an itinerary through causes beyond their control or when they are not notified of a problem at the point where remedial action can be taken. In the unlikely event that a complaint cannot be resolved at the time, you should write to the Company within 28 days of returning home, giving your original booking reference number and all other relevant information. If you fail to take any of these steps you will hinder the Company’s ability to put any problem right and/or investigate it fully and any right you have to receive compensation will be reduced or completely invalidated.

b) Any dispute that may arise will be governed by Peruvian law and both parties shall submit to the jurisdiction of the Peruvian Courts.c) All information given by Peru Cultural Connections whether in writing or orally is to the best of the Company’s knowledge and believed correct at the time given and is given in good faith. The booking conditions shall take precedence over any other warranty or condition that may have been given.

Data Protection ActIt may be necessary for Peru Cultural Connections to ask you for certain personal information. Examples of this would be dietary requirements, disability/medical or religious information etc. This information will be kept confidential by the Company and is available to you to inspect during the Company’s normal working hours. It will be passed to the suppliers, if they must know this information to fulfill the Company’s contract to you.
